Cornwall has a great reputation for surfing so why not check it out for yourself and find out what makes it the first choice for European surfing !

Cornwall's Atlantic coast provides the ideal conditions for great surfing from Bude in North Cornwall to Sennen near The Land's End. Polzeath, Harlyn , Constantine , Watergate Bay, Newquay, Perranporth, St Agnes, Porthtowan, Gwithian and Porthmeor (St Ives) all provide great facilities for surfing.

Newquay is famous for its Fistral Beach which hosts several surf championships each year including National and International events such as the British Bodyboard Championships and the Quicksilver ISA World Junior Championships.

Lusty Glaze, another of Newquay's beaches is a regular venue for prominent surfing events.

Porthtowan hosted a major bodyboard festival during Easter 2003 with over 90 entrants competing from as far afield as Australia, South Africa, Portugal and the Canary Islands.

South and East coast beaches in Cornwall such as Praa Sands, Porthleven, Kennack Sands, Whitsand Bay and Pentewan all provide excellent surfing conditions.
